Overview

About this service

A green, cloudy, or storm-wrecked pool can go from bad to worse fast. The longer it sits, the harder it is to bring back, and the more it costs. Polar Pools handles emergency pool treatment across the Wasatch Front, from Santaquin to Ogden, to get your water clear and safe again before a bad situation turns into an expensive one.

Most of our emergency calls are green pool recovery. When algae takes over, we shock and treat the water, get your filtration running the way it should, and bring the pool back to clear. We also handle storm and debris cleanup, clearing out what a bad Utah storm leaves behind and getting your water back in balance.

Emergency treatment is $300 for the full recovery, plus the chemicals it takes to get your pool back to clear. Because a green pool is not a one-time fix, recovery usually takes two to four visits to get fully back to 100 percent. The first visit is included in that price, and each visit after the first adds a flat $20. A heavy recovery uses more product than routine service, which is why chemicals are billed separately. We'll get you clear, and then we'll show you how to keep it that way.

How it works

  1. Reach out right away. Tell us what's going on and send a photo if you can. The sooner we start, the easier the fix.
  2. We assess and treat. We shock the water, clear debris, and get your filtration working to turn the pool around.
  3. We bring it back to clear. Green pool recovery is a process, not a single visit. Getting your water fully clear and balanced usually takes two to four visits, and they're all part of getting you back to clear.
  4. We keep it from happening again. This is the perfect moment to start regular service so it never turns green again.
FAQ

Common questions

How much does green pool recovery cost?

Emergency treatment is $300 for the full recovery, plus chemicals. Recovery usually takes two to four visits to complete, depending on how far gone the pool is. The first visit is included, and each visit after the first adds a flat $20. A green or storm-damaged pool takes significantly more product than a routine visit, so those chemicals are billed separately. We'll always be upfront about what your pool needs.

How long until my pool is clear again?

A green pool is not a one-time service. Getting it fully back to 100 percent usually takes two to four visits, depending on how far gone it is. A mildly green pool comes back faster, while a badly neglected one takes more time and treatment. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we see it, and we won't stop until it's swim-ready.

How do I stop this from happening again?

Regular maintenance. Almost every green pool we treat got that way because it sat too long without service. On a bi-weekly or weekly plan your water stays balanced and your chemicals are included, so it never gets the chance to turn. The best time to start is right after a recovery, when your pool is clear and you want to keep it that way.
